Poor poor Martin and Tuesday....operation Rubber Band = mission accomplished. Tetanus shot = check. It's now been 1 week and the "boys" seem fine, healthy and active.
Later in season, the shearing man asked me if we castrated the sheep ourselves. When I asked how he knew that, he told me that we'd completely missed the actual "testes" and merely trimmed up the sacks. Luckily, the close proximity to the body creates sperm killing heat, so while we did not do the job properly, we probably did the job.
